My Daughter Wants To Be A Woman Fighter Pilot

By Ed 9 Comments

Women in the military as a Fighter Pilot… Is it possible? You would never hear about Women Fighter Pilots back in the day. But after a lot of years, ladies have the chance to put on your G-suit and fly combat missions just like us guys. And I support it 100%.

See my daughter Faith is still growing up fast, but as you can see from the video below, she’s got the excitement and passion needed to become a woman fighter pilot to get behind the stick of whatever fighter jet she chooses.

My Personal Note To Faith: Faith, your daddy loves you and I will support you in any dream you pursue. I will always have your back and you are so beautiful and smart that the world is at your fingertips.

Enough with the mushy stuff but how cool is that? I get to say hi to my beautiful little girl. But lets be honest, she has her daddy wrapped around her fingers. 🙂

Ok… Back to the Women Fighter Pilots!

Faith has a lot of years to go before she needs to worry about signing up for the Navy, Marines or Air Force. You may not, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t end up like me, serving your country by flying some of the coolest jets the United States has to offer as an elite Fighter Pilot Woman (or Men if you are a man reading this).

And just like with Faith, you have the resources, the mentoring and the support you need to become a fighter pilot, whether you’re a guy or a girl. I don’t think either sex has a monopoly on drive or persistence. Do You?

You shouldn’t either. If you’re a woman or man who thinks fighter jets are awesome, and want to take the next step on the path to becoming a fighter pilot, then you need to get your hands on my Fighter Pilot Power Pack.

No one can stop you if you want to join our nation’s military and fly whatever fighter you want, except you.

About me

I’ve flown multiple combat missions over Iraq and have fought Russian MiG-29 and MiG-21 aircrafts. I have served as the ‘Marine Corps’ leading expert in fighter maneuvering and in F-18 tactics, and am a graduate of the Navy’s Fighter Pilot Weapon School, “Top Gun”.

    Great. Just great.

    Periodic monthly instability.

    Lack of upper body strength.

    Unnatural preoccupation with cosmetics.

    What’s next ?

In response to the things you posted above chuck, I think that is an extremely sexist way of thinking. Yes, women do lack some things that males possess. However, females (and this is proven) are physically designed better in every way except brute physical strength, which isn’t even something completely nessisary to this profession. They are general more mentally capable, healthy, and sometimes driven. Thinking that way proves a feeling of superiority, which is totally unjust, and against the basic priniciples our nation is structured upon. If you truly believe women aren’t as capable, to the extent where you would compare them to toddler, you may want to re-evaluate your reality. As a man with an intense desire to be a fighter pilot, I recognize an equality shared by both men and women, what we lack, they have, and vice versa. If you truly want to succeed, put those thoughts out of your head, cause you are going to see women in planes, and I’m sure at some point if you make it that far, a woman is going to outfly you. Hopefully you’ll have realized the truth far beyond that point. Best of luck to your daughter Ed, and to all the rest of the women out there with dreams just like the rest of us.

Chuck, you are so wrong. I’m a woman, and don’t have mood swings. My monthlies are a very minor thing. And guess what, I can do just as pull ups as you can, that’s my bet. I surf all day long on my days off.

And I’ve been flying for over 20 years, jet time included.

So catch up with current realities, and learn to work side by side with your team, regardless of gender, race, background, etc.

If you can’t work with those unlike you, than reconsider. For teamwork is everything in the aviation world.

In response to the things you posted above Chuck, you have an extremely sexist way of thinking. It is actually scientifically proven that females have a far superior physical design in every way except in brute physical strength, which in most instances they possess just as much of as men. They are generally more mentally capable, healthy, and just as equal as men. If you truly believe women aren’t able to live up to “male” standards to the extent where you compare them to toddlers, you may as well forget aviation completely, because as Carolina said, “teamwork is everything”. Best of luck to your daughter Ed and to all the rest of the women out there with dreams just like everyone.

Thank you for the kind reply. You could have gone ballistic
(“Your working side-by-side” brings to mind Han Solo and Wookiee first mate, Chewbacca.) We’re not talking straight and level, here. There are terrific differences between the genders, and earning your bread as a fighter pilot means (entire job description follows) killing people and breaking things. Drop the word “teamwork” from your vocabulary. Except for the 3,465 days in SAC, a bear in the back seat and Class 57-U, I was always alone. Twenty in the AF, and twenty as a bus driver with AA. The WWII Russian women fighter pilots proved their capability, so you may have some points for your team.
Thanks, again, for the thoughtful reply, Carolina.

I have absolutely no problem with female fighter pilots. However, I DO have a problem with affirmative action.
